Colour Marked Stainless Steel
This stainless steel has been colour marked using a precision technique that alters the surface oxide layer without paint or dyes. The result is a vibrant, durable finish that reflects light beautifully and won’t peel or flake. Each marked piece maintains the strength and corrosion resistance of stainless steel while showcasing a unique, permanent colour pattern. Perfect for decorative and functional applications.
Care Instructions
To preserve the colour marking, clean only with mild soap and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh chemicals, or acidic cleaners. Dry thoroughly after cleaning. Do not expose to prolonged moisture or saltwater environments. Handle with care to avoid scratching the surface, as scratches may dull or remove the coloured finish.

Packaging

The box is a handmade 300gsm hammered cardstock in white. We create it using our Cricut machine and then fold by hand.

We use a small plastic bag to keep the coin safe sandwiched in another piece of card which is then placed inside the box.

Instructions are printed on sticker paper and added to the inside of the box.

FAQs – Colour Marked Stainless Steel Products

Q: How many colours can I use in my logo or design?
We recommend using 2 to 3 colours maximum. This simplifies the design and ensures the colour marking is sharp and vibrant. Colour marking works best with bold, simple images—highly detailed or intricate designs may not produce consistent results.

We are happy to discuss more complex designs, though anything complex will incur additional set up fees (one-time, per logo/image)

Q: Can you do gradients or shading in the design?
Whilst they are not impossible, gradients are not something we do often with this marking technique. The process produces solid colours the best, not smooth fades or blended shading.

Q: What if the colour marking fades or starts to degrade?
If your item starts to fade or show signs of wear, send us a photo of the issue. We’ll review it and offer a replacement if eligible.

Q: What are your turnaround times?
For orders of fewer than 10 coins, we typically ship within 2–3 working days from the order date. Larger or bulk orders will be given a custom timeline depending on quantity—please contact us to discuss.

Q: What postage options do you offer?
We offer Royal Mail 2nd Class postage for free. For faster delivery, you can upgrade to 1st Class or Tracked at an additional cost.
